The cost depends on what you need. Often the British Standard states what needs to be measured, how long for and how it is to be measured. When we are applying an established standard such as BS8233, BS4142 or PPG24 or Noise At Work Regulations 2005 etc we know already what is required. However the local authority or health and safety inspector may want additional noise characteristics measured. We are happy to provide what is needed to suit your project.
Some projects require measurements over 2 to 5 days both day and night. Railway noise requires a 24hr measurement. These variables change the cost because of the amount of work required. What ever your needs, rest assured we will let you know upfront with a free quote.
1. The site location. A site location plan is really useful. This helps us identify potential noise sources.
2. A brief description of the noise assessment you require. If you have a letter from the environmental health officer, your local authority or health and safety inspector, this will often tell us what you need.
3. What you are proposing to do for example; build 20 houses, install new extractor fan, air conditioning unit up grade etc
4. An indication of your time scale.
1. Our fees are all inclusive.
2. No VAT (unless stated)
3. No additional costs unless we have agreed them with you first
A BS4142 noise impact assessment typically costs between £1400 - £16,000
A BS8233 day and night noise assessment typically costs between £1200 - £8,000 or more
A noise at work risk assessment typically costs between £995 - £4,000 or more
The costs depend on the amount of work required, the time it takes to measure and produce a report. We will give you a free quote before we begin the noise assessment.
Our work place noise risk assessments to HSE standards and in compliance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations. Failure to protect emploees and production staff from hearing damage caused by high noise levels in the work place can result in a legal claim against the company. High noise levels above the Control of Noise at Work Regulations upper exposure action value, can lead to hearing loss, lower staff productivity and an unpleasent work environment. We help you stay legal and compliant by;
1. Measure noise levels at work stations
2. Provide calculations and recommendations for hearing protection
3. Measure noise exposure of employees LEP’d (daily dose)
4. Measure Peak noise
5. Provide recommendations for reducing noise in the work place
You recieve a full report showing the measured noise levels and recommendations that you can show HSE inspectors and insurance companies. We have provided noise at work assessments for over one hundred companies large and small since 2015.
